IMS Join as UKAA Member & Premium Sponsor

By Earl Murtagh-Naughton – Head of Marketing & Brand Development, IMS

IMS is delighted to announce that we are now a supplier member and sponsor of the UKAA, the biggest Build to Rent organisation in the UK and the leading association when it comes to the UK’s Build to Rent sector.

Build to Rent refers to a purpose-built housing model that is designed for rent rather than sale. BTR schemes offer longer tenancy agreements and are often professionally managed by the owner or operator. With a shortage of affordable housing and UK and Irish house prices and rent soaring, BTR developments are proving a popular option for investors seeking long-term returns.

IMS is excited to be a part of this fast-growing market, helping to provide the technical expertise and support needed to facilitate this ever-increasing rental trend. In our role we advise clients on the kind of technology needed for BTR models, helping to create smart building systems with high-quality internet access with full-fiber broadband and a dedicated WiFi system. This is because a BTR complex needs high connectivity to help residents enjoy a range of new smart technology options throughout the building including communal workspaces, kitchen and laundry rooms, gyms, spas, social areas, and a host of other concierge services.

The benefit of IMS being a supplier member and sponsor is that we will be liaising with experts and practitioners in the market on the key issues facing the industry. This will include webinars, expos and trade shows, international site tours and conferences, gathering crucial insider intel on the Build to Rent model. We will also be contributing to specialist UKAA Councils, Committees, and Forums which are designed to help shape the organisation and the industry and we will have access to key industry research and news updates as well as networking with senior industry leaders, key stakeholders, and contractors and suppliers on BTR ideas and experiences.

Our role within the UKAA will also give us vital access to education, training, and recruitment programmes in partnership with organisations like IRPM.

As a result, we can share vital tools with our clients including expertise in making the BTR market in the UK as successful as it has been in the US for the last 40 years.

Our new status within the UKAA will also enable us to work with other property organisations throughout the world learning about solutions to key issues and researching future innovative designs and ideas.

This kind of access to industry advisors, local authorities, investors, operators, contractors, and suppliers will be an invaluable asset to our clients who are looking to deal with the leading industry experts.
